Where the numbers come from

Timings are cooked, not copied

Every prep and cook time on this site is the one actually taken, on a domestic hob and a domestic oven, not the one repeated from one recipe site to the next.

Nutrition is calculated, never guessed

Calories, protein, fat and fibre are computed from the listed ingredients and their exact weights, then divided by the yield. They are estimates, and they are labelled as such on every recipe.

No invented ratings

You will not find a star rating or a Nutri-Score here. A blog with no users has no real ratings, and a Nutri-Score needs per-100g data we do not have. Publishing either would be a decoration, not information.

FAQ

The questions people actually ask

What time does brunch start?

Brunch runs from 11am to 3pm, with most places seating between 11.30am and 1pm. Earlier than 11am it is breakfast; later than 3pm the savoury dishes are usually gone.

How much food should I plan per person for a brunch at home?

Count two savoury items, one sweet item and one drink per person, which comes to roughly 500 to 600 g of food. For six people that is about a dozen eggs, a loaf of bread and 1.5 litres of drinks.

Which brunch dishes can be made ahead?

Granola keeps ten days, hot chocolate reheats for 48 hours, and pancake batter without whipped whites holds overnight. Eggs are the only thing that has to be cooked to order.

How much does a homemade brunch cost?

Between 4 and 7 euros per person for a full table, against 25 to 35 euros in a Paris brunch spot. The gap is almost entirely the drinks and the service.
